My calm and caring presence, empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity will comfort you in therapy. Together, we will address your issues, create a customized treatment plan, and work toward finding solutions for positive change.
I work with adults facing a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and men’s issues. I specialize in utilizing EMDR therapy to address past trauma and adverse life events, aiming to reduce triggers and alleviate mental health symptoms. EMDR is a comprehensive approach focusing on the past, present, and future. In addition to EMDR therapy, I employ various techniques and interventions, such as treatment planning, goal setting, active listening, empathy, mindfulness, relaxation techniques, addressing cognitive distortions, and psychoeducation. I also draw from multiple modalities, including a person-centered perspective, cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing.
I hold a Master’s degree in counseling and have experience providing therapeutic care in various settings, including community mental health, outpatient and inpatient facilities, crisis intervention, assessment, and private practice. I am a licensed professional counselor in Colorado and a nationally certified counselor. Additionally, I am EMDR certified and am working towards becoming an EMDR consultant through EMDRIA.
Outside of therapy, I am passionate about the outdoors and find self-care through hiking, mountain biking, and rock climbing. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, attending concerts, learning new things, and traveling.
Don't hesitate to contact me at my phone number to discuss whether we would be a good fit or if you have any further questions before scheduling an intake appointment.
