During therapy, you’ll feel comforted by my calm and caring presence, empathy, unconditional positive regard, and congruence. Collaboratively, we will work to address the issues you’re struggling with, build a treatment plan tailored to your needs, and seek solutions for positive change.
I assist adults with various mental health concerns, such as depression, anxiety, bipolar, substance use disorders, and men’s issues. I take an eclectic approach to therapy by incorporating various techniques and interventions, like treatment planning and goal setting, active listening and empathy, mindfulness and relaxation techniques, addressing cognitive distortions, and psychoeducation. Modalities I draw from include EMDR, person-centered perspective, cognitive and dialectal behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing.
I hold a Master’s degree in counseling and have experience providing therapeutic care in various settings, including community mental health, outpatient and inpatient facilities, crisis intervention and assessment, and private practice. I am a licensed professional counselor in Colorado and a nationally certified counselor. I am also EMDR trained and working towards becoming an EMDR-certified therapist through EMDRIA.
Outside of therapy, I am passionate about the outdoors and find my self-care through hiking, mountain biking, or rock climbing.
