Meet Rich Thomas, LPC, NCC
EMDR Certified Therapist
Colorado Natural Medicine Facilitator
I specialize in helping adults heal from trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and other life challenges through evidence-based, trauma-informed care. My approach integrates EMDR therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, somatic modalities, and parts work to support meaningful, lasting change.
Psychedelic-assisted therapy represents a natural extension of my clinical work. I believe healing occurs when people are allowed to reconnect with parts of themselves that have been hidden, wounded, or disconnected through difficult life experiences.
Psilocybin can offer unique opportunities for insight, emotional healing, and personal growth. However, meaningful transformation occurs through careful preparation, skilled support, and thoughtful integration. My goal is to provide a grounded, ethical, and trauma-informed approach that helps clients translate powerful experiences into lasting change.

Why Psilocybin-Assisted Therapy?
Many people gain valuable insight through traditional therapy yet continue to feel influenced by unresolved experiences, emotional wounds, or long-standing patterns. Psilocybin-assisted therapy may help individuals access deeper aspects of themselves while complementing established therapeutic approaches.
Rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction, this work fosters opportunities for greater self-awareness, emotional processing, self-compassion, connection, and personal growth.
I view psilocybin not as a standalone cure, but as a powerful therapeutic tool that works best when combined with thoughtful preparation, professional support, and meaningful integration afterward.
The goal is not simply to have a profound experience. The goal is to create lasting change in how you relate to yourself, your relationships, and your life moving forward.
A Unique Integration of EMDR and Psychedelic Therapy
Many professionals offer psychedelic integration services. Fewer bring extensive trauma specialization and EMDR training into this work.
As an EMDR Certified Therapist, I help clients understand how psychedelic experiences connect to underlying memories, beliefs, emotions, attachment patterns, and nervous system responses. Together, we explore how insights gained during the experience may relate to long-standing patterns and unresolved wounds.
This integration process transforms powerful moments of insight into meaningful, sustainable therapeutic change.
My approach emphasizes:
- Trauma-informed care
- Nervous system regulation
- Emotional processing
- Somatic awareness
- Self-compassion and self-understanding
- Lasting behavioral and relational change
- Integration of insight into daily life
